Kristel Penn Hosting Free Model Wellness Workshop Today at YNOT Summit

Kristel Penn Hosting Free Model Wellness Workshop Today at YNOT Summit.png

LOS ANGELES, CA – Grooby’s Kristel Penn will be hosting a free workshop from 4-4:50pm PST today titled, “Model Wellness: How and Where to Get Help When You Need It” as part of the online YNOT Summit.

“The purpose of this free workshop is to help those in the adult industry, whether performers or producers, find competent and affirming mental health care services,” explains Penn. “A complaint I hear often from our community is folks wanting to see a therapist but feeling like the process is extremely confusing and stressful only to have them receive subpar care. This workshop considers how the unique intersectional identities of the adult industry community affect how seeking mental health care is navigated and how it also informs the type of care people might need.”

Penn is Grooby’s longtime Creative and Editorial Director. She is an outspoken adult community advocate and hosts educational workshops across the country to help destigmatize the adult industry and the consumption of porn. Previous speaking engagements include the Contemporary Relationships Conference, Catalyst Con, Woodhull Sexual Freedom Summit, Kink’s educational series, YNOT Summit, and more.

“Model Wellness: How and Where to Get Help When You Need It” is a 50-minute educational workshop. Below is the workshop description:

Navigating the mental health system can be a labyrinth filled with confusing technical jargon, safety and privacy concerns, plus the fear of being judged and discriminated against because of your profession. Not to mention the extra task of trying to find a competent and affirming therapist who understands the unique concerns of being a sex worker. In this 50-minute workshop, adult industry advocate and MA in Psychology student, Kristel Penn, shares the 411 of different mental health services and its pros/cons (e.g. the difference between therapy and life coaching, different types of providers), finding a sex worker affirming provider, interviewing and selecting a potential professional, and navigating the system with/without health insurance.

Those interested in attending may register for free at YNOTSummit.com.

Foxxy Shares Offers a Glimpse into her Life in Grooby Girls Magazine

GroobyGirls-Magazine-005-Foxxy (1).jpg

LAS VEGAS, NV - Trans industry icon Foxxy is featured in the latest issue of Grooby Girls Magazine, sharing a photo diary of her life as an adult star and juggling her responsibilities as a parent.

“It was a great opportunity given to me by Grooby to share an exclusive look at my day-to-day life,” says Foxxy. “Not many people know the double life I live and how challenging each day can be. In the end, love my career and would never change it for anything. It’s also very rewarding to know how I’ve changed these kids’ lives and watch them grow.  I thank everyone for the years of support, the fans who keep me afloat, and those who have been there for me.  Thank you Grooby for the great article and thanks for the wonderful years we continue to work together.

“We were honored that Foxxy wanted to give our readers a glimpse into her life,” adds Grooby Girls Magazine, Kristel Penn. “As consumers, they only see a very small fragment of a performer’s identity and purposely so. But performers, like any public figures, have to navigate the complexities of real-life just like the rest of us. I think any opportunity to diversify how performers, and particularly trans performers, are represented in media is very important to our communities.”

“A Day in the Life of Foxxy” can be read exclusively in Grooby Girls Magazine #006 at Grooby.com.

Foxxy is an icon in the trans adult industry and a TEA Lifetime Achievement Award recipient. She first appeared on Grooby’s flagship site, GroobyGirls.com, back in 2004, and is a pioneer of the trans genre. Her illustrious career includes a long list of scenes from every major trans adult studio in the industry and steadily continues to this day. She’s also been featured on Gigolos, American Working Girl, A Madam’s Heaven and Hell, Vivid Radio, and many more.

Most recently, Foxxy appears in Hustler Magazine’s “Ask a Trans Woman” series where she answers candid reader questions about being transgender. The article can be accessed directly here: https://hustlermagazine.com/articles/ask-a-trans-woman/

Grooby’s Kristel Penn Nominated for XBIZ’s Exec’s “Community Figure of the Year”

Untitled design (2).png

LOS ANGELES, CA - Grooby is proud to announce that their longtime Creative and Editorial Director, Kristel Penn, has been nominated for XBIZ’s Exec Awards.

“It would have been an honor to be nominated in any category,” explains Penn, “but the ‘Community Figure of the Year’ award holds personal significance to me. Grooby, in many ways, is a small business and can’t compete with the budgets of the big studios, but we utilize all of our resources and pour it back into our performers. This includes concrete things like creating more opportunities for performers shooting with us, but also extends to less measurable efforts like increasing the visibility and acceptance of trans performers in our industry and supporting the trans community as a whole.”

Penn joined Grooby in 2008 when the company was still based in Hawaii. She is also the Executive Producer of the Transgender Erotica Awards, which celebrates the accomplishments of the trans adult industry.

The annual XBIZ Exec Awards honors the best of the best from the adult business community, celebrating outstanding career achievement across a wide variety of prominent industry roles. Nominees are selected based on a range of success factors including business acumen, community standing and overall leadership.

Voting for the 2021 XBIZ Exec Awards is now open. Industry members may cast their votes here. Winners will be announced early next year.

Penn adds, “As always, I owe a sincere debt of gratitude to Steven (Grooby). Through Grooby, he has given me a platform to use my voice and encourages me to do as myself. Without him, there would essentially be no ‘Kristel Penn’ as a public figure in our industry.

To a certain extent, for anyone, it is a privilege to be able to live authentically both personally and professionally. For someone like me who grew up being bullied throughout high school for being gay and just honestly different than my classmates, being nominated for my work with Grooby and in the adult industry feels like being honored for my identity. Win or lose, I am grateful for the nomination and recognition from my colleagues and friends here.”

download (11).png

MIAMI, FL - World-famous photographer and podcast host Holly Randall is the latest celebrity featured on the cover of a renowned international magazine.

ASN Lifestyle Magazine is the world’s most popular digital publication tailored to those in open and swinging lifestyles, which includes a growing network within the adult entertainment industry. The magazine collaborates with educators, entertainers, and celebrities like actor Richard Ruccolo and his wife and model Lauren Ruccolo, as well as Holly and Michael Bell from Playboy’s Swing, for a growing international audience.

“Our readers are curious about alternative relationships and lifestyles, and that includes the porn industry,” said Michael Ramos, ASN’s co-founder. “Featuring Holly Randall — someone who’s very well-respected in the adult industry — on our recent cover is an extra way to show how far-reaching our magazine has become.”

In Randall’s ASN exclusive, she’s interviewed by former colleague Lexi Sylver, the erotica author of Mating Season: Erotic Short Stories. Sylver wrote and creatively produced various projects with Randall, such as Digital Playground’s Flesh: House of Hedonism and The Fetish Diaries. “Many call Holly the ‘Best in the Business,’ and it’s no secret why,” says Sylver. “I’ve had the pleasure of witnessing her skills and approach firsthand.”

In ASN Lifestyle Magazine’s November feature, Randall talks about her journey from helping her mother, famous photographer Suze Randall, to doing erotic photography and porn production for top brands like Playboy, Twistys, Penthouse, and her personal website, HollyRandall.com. “At first, I was pretty much just copying my mom’s style and trying to carry on the Suze legacy in a way that her fans wanted,” says Randall. “But as time has gone on, I started getting into directing video — something she was never big on — so I think I definitely carved out my own niche in that aspect.”

Randall has also been interviewed for major shows on CBS, CNN, Netflix, and other networks. Her podcast, Holly Randall Unfiltered, has become the #1 show in the adult industry, with over 1 million downloads. As a podcast host and producer, she interviews top performers like Abella Danger, Madison Ivy, Dani Daniels, and Asa Akira.

Holly Randall has also been nominated as Best Adult Industry Photographer for the upcoming 2021 ASN Lifestyle Magazine Awards, set to take place September 17–19, 2021, in Orlando, Florida.

Domino Presley Featured in Alissah’s New “Daddy” Remix

image3.jpeg

LOS ANGELES, CA - Award-winning adult star Domino Presley is featured in trans pop star Alissah’s new single for “Daddy (THEE STALLION REMIX).”

“When Alissah first played her latest single ‘Daddy’ for me, I screamed,” says Presley. “I had a literal fan girl reaction, screamed, fell out of my bed, and started shaking my ass. After about the 1000th time listening to the new song, I texted her back and basically forced myself on whatever future remix she would do for ‘Daddy.’”

image1.jpeg

“I’ve been doing music since 2015 and first met Domino back in 2006,” adds pop star Alissah. “She was doing music at the time and I was inspired by her to start it one day. Fast forward to today, we are both doing what we love to do. We are doing a mashup remix to my latest single ‘Daddy’ which originally premiered on Global Pride back in June. It’s remixed with Megan Thee Stallions hit single, ‘Girls In The Hood.’

“The song is a sugar baby/OnlyFans anthem,” adds Presley. “It's all about being a spoiled girl/boy/being who has no care in the world because ‘daddy takes care of me anyway he can.’ So who better to hop on the remix than an actual porn star and OnlyFans content creator. This is my musical debut as Domino (I used to do music way back in the day pre-transition with my little MySpace music page, but that's for another interview) and I couldn't be more excited that it's with Alissah, because I truly am one of her biggest fans. That being said, I plan on forcing myself into more of her music in the future.”

Listen to “Daddy (THEE STALLION REMIX) feat. Domino” here:

Domino Presley is an American Adult Film performer, model, director, and Adult Talent Agent who first debuted in the adult industry in 2010 with her first scenes for GroobyGirls.com. Since then she has worked with some of the biggest companies in adult entertainment, including Wicked, Evil Angel, Grooby, GenderX, Transational Fantasies, and TransAngels.

Presley has racked up numerous nominations and awards during her illustrious career. Notably, she was one of the first trans performers to be nominated for a non-trans specific award (XBIZ Best VR Sex Scene), which she won in 2019. In addition to her multiple TEA wins, she also served as the official TEA Mistress of Ceremonies in 2019 and 2020.

Originally from Atlanta, GA, Presley started out as a Drag Performer under the name Jazmin Aviance. She still performs and competes in the Ballroom Scene as Jazmin Balenciaga.

Adult Performers Estella Bathory and Natassia Dreams Land Historic Award Nomination with Erika Lust’s “Super Femmes”

000017_1.jpg

CYBERSPACE - Adult performers Estella Bathory and Natassia Dreams received historic nominations from the upcoming XBIZ Europa Awards for “Super Femmes” directed by Erika Lust. This is the first time in XBIZ Europa Awards’ history where a BBW performer or trans performer were nominated in a non-genre specific category, representing a noteworthy accomplishment for Bathory and Dreams, XBIZ, and growing inclusivity within the adult industry.

"I absolutely loved working for Erika Lust who I really admire as a director, and with both of my incredible co-stars,” says Bathory, an award-winning queer performer and producer from the UK. “As a performer who has, until now, been confined to the 'BBW' category, I am truly ecstatic to be nominated within a mainstream XBIZ category for the first time in my career and for my hard work to be recognized in the same category as many legendary mainstream performers.

“Super Femmes” directed by Erika Lust is nominated for XBIZ Europa’s “Best Lesbian Sex Scene” Award and stars Estella Bathory, Natassia Dreams, and Luna Corazón. The event’s winners will be announced via live broadcast on October 22, 2020.

A full list of nominees can be found here: https://www.xbiz.com/news/254578/xbiz-announces-nominees-for-3rd-annual-xbiz-europa-awards

“Whilst I have been very lucky to do various mainstream jobs as a queer plus-size performer - the reality is that my career has involved many doors being shut in my face and I have had to be relentless and work twice as hard,” adds Bathory. “I want companies to know that I am here, I have a lot to offer and I am determined to continue breaking the mold. I am ready to be booked in Europe and the USA."

Co-star Natassia Dreams shares, “This was one of my favorite movies that I've done in my career. I got to work with two beautiful people and we had the freedom from Erika Lust to do what we wanted sexually. I am extremely proud that we were nominated - this the first time in my career as a transgender woman that I have been included in the lesbian category - and I am so excited that we are making history.”

Natassia Dreams is a legendary trans pornstar who has worked for a long list of trans and mainstream studios during her illustrious career. Dreams is also a Transgender Erotica Awards Lifetime Achievement Award recipient and the event’s official red carpet hostess.

"When they told me that I would be a superhero, I immediately got so excited,” adds co-star Luna Corazón. “However, what caught my interest,  was when they told me I would be interacting with both a trans model and a BBW performer. Then I knew that it would be historic!

In mainstream porn, it is rare to have real diversity, especially represented with good, empowering connotations. I am proud of having these ladies working with me, we are moving more towards a reality in porn where diversity and equality walk hand in hand.”

Luna Corazón is a Brazilian performer and cam model who started in 2015.

“‘Super Femmes’ came from a sexual fantasy I received from this girl who dreamed about becoming a superheroine whose mission is to rescue all women who are living cunninlingusless lives,” explains the scene’s director, Erika Lust. “I immediately thought this was such a fun and empowering story to translate into a film! Being a woman doesn't have to do with what's in your pants nor being sexy has to do with your body size. If you're familiar with my work, you may know that I've always strived to show and celebrate diversity in my films without fetishizing those bodies that don't fit into the ‘norm’ dictated by patriarchy. So what better cast than Natassia, Estella, and Luna to smash it? These three powerful girls show us that being a woman cannot be limited to one narrow idea, and that we can be stronger together if we go beyond transphobia, fatphobia, racism, and any useless and harmful stereotypes based on gender. Come join forces with the Super Femmes for some real action against pleasureless sex! If you miss it, then the patriarchal villains will win!”
